Sunshine in the Rain Forest? Pretty tough to beat!

As of July 4th, summer has finally arrived on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula.
Hikers, Fishermen, Beach Goers, and well Twilighters galore have been showing up in groves to enjoy the Forks Washington area and the Olympic National Park.
It’s now a terrific time to throw a back pack together with a few essentials for a night or two on the coast. If you’ve not done it before, you gotta go! It’s just amazing.
If roughing it isn’t your style, then there are several campgrounds. hotels, and lodging in the area
For you fishing enthusiasts, the local rivers: Solduc, Bogachiel, Calawah, and Hoh rivers have all been putting out some really nice fish. The Bogi and Calawah are mainly geared for Summer Run Steelhead and Cutthroat trout this time of year. But the Solduc and Hoh, have Summer Kings, Sockeye Salmon, Summer Steelhead, and Cutthroat trout, with summer Coho Salmon due to arrive any time now.
Also, if you’ve never spent any time surf casting for Ocean Perch it’s a blast.
Abraham Cotreras and his buddy Victor Bautista from Tri-Cities Wa. found this out just a while back. They caught fish on Rialto beach and Lapush as well. It was all prompted by a video they’d seen on Utube. It was a lot of fun watching these guys catch fish and fulfill their fishing fantasy.
If fishing’s not your bag, just come out pull up a log on any one of our local beaches. Sit down and just take in the breath taking beauty of the area. Or enjoy a long leisurely walk along Lapush beaches 1,2 and 3 or Rialto. These are all breath taking beaches & just a few short miles from Three Rivers Resort. Whether you’ve got any stress or not in your bones, it’s some of the best therapy on the planet. Personally, I love it! Once you’re there I’ll guarrantee you, you won’t want to leave.
Well summers are kind of short here on the Olympic Peninsula so if you’re going to make i out here this season, best get your travel plans taken care of. Like I said:
The Sunshine in the Rain Forest is really tough to beat. So don’t miss out.
We look forward to seeing you sometime soon here at Three River Resort, as you may want to come in for one of our World Famous River Burgers and Shakes (as recommended by Back Packers Magazine) once you’ve come off the beach or one of our local rivers.
Hope to see you soon,
Curt Ingram and the Gang,
Three Rivers Resort and Guide Service

My sisters and I are going to be there in 3 weeks, very excited for the nicer weather and Twilight fun.
August! Great time to come. See you soon!

    • The weather’s been great other than a little morning fog on the beaches. But August is most definitely the best time of year to visit the Olympic Peninsula. There is no where else in the world I would rather be this time of year. The long wet winters make summertime something special in Northwestern Washington. It really is beautiful.
C’mon by the Treatyline when you get to town! We’ll see you then!

We wont be missing the treaty line because, we are actually staying at the Three Rivers Resort. I believe we are in cabin 5. We have actually done this trip before years ago and decided to reunite in Forks again for a girls only vacation. We remembered how cute the cabins looked last time and since we had already eaten in the cafe we knew good food would be close by too! We will be there the 15 16 and 17. Can’t. Hardy wait!
